Scratched one on my bucket list, hello to the northernmost part of the country!

Most people would say that Batanes’ weather is very unpredictable but I think the best time to visit here is from March to May.

As for us, we visited this beautiful place last March for 4 days and 3 nights and It’s one of the best places I have ever been. Being a beach enthusiast, I almost though that Batanes would be very over rated but when we stepped out of the plane, everything is beautiful. It’s amazing to see simple people with simple lifestyle living in a paradise.

Chilling at Malboro Country

With PAL and Skyjet as the only airline companies to host flights in here, the airport is very tiny compared to the one in Manila. You have to fall in line once you have stepped out of the plane to pay for the tourism fee, after that, you may get your luggage at the side of the airport, they do not have any carousel.

From the airport, we were picked up by our complimentary shuttle service courtesy of Bisumi travel and we’re dropped-off to our accommodation, we stayed at DDD for the whole duration of stay for only PHP 1,500 nett per day.

I filled my lungs with some fresh air and my heart with some good memories. I will definitely come back.

Tip: If you are a frequent traveler, you should take advantage of the free memberships that airlines, hotels, and travel agencies has to offer.

In this travel, I only Paid 450 pesos for my airfare. Yes! 450! I used my miles, courtesy of Philippine airlines and just paid for the taxes. Original price of airfare ranges from 10,000 to 13, 000 pesos or more but PAL and SKY JET offers promo fares every now and then. The secret is to get yourself updated with the travel expo dates since they usually sell tickets here for a much lower price. Some of my friends got theirs at PHP 4,000 nett for a round trip fare which they availed last travel expo held at MOA.
